Qatar Airway’s revolutionary QSuite is coming to Paris and New York this year

After a successful three months of operation onboard Qatar Airways’ Doha-London Heathrow B777 service, the Qsuite is set to be rolled out on Paris and New York routes within the year. Paris Charles De Gaulle Airport will be the second destination to have the new business-class product, with the revamped cabins appearing on the route on September 25, the Doha-based airline has confirmed. New York JFK will follow by the end of the year.

The revolutionary suite, which has been in development for three years, features a number of firsts for Business Class, including sliding ‘privacy doors’ and the industry’s first-ever double bed in Business Class.

The product also allows up to four passengers travelling together to transform their seats to form a private area, so families, friends or colleagues can dine, socialise or work together in a group.

This arrangement has encouraged Qatar Airways to introduce a series of “sharing snack” platters to its dining options. These platters can be positioned between the two pairs of facing seats. The arrangement of the privacy screens also means passengers in the central block of seats can also travel as a pair or have complete privacy as individuals.

The carrier is currently converting its widebody fleet to the Qsuite configuration and will have completed the process by the end of 2018.

The Boeing 777 fleet will be converted first, followed by the Boeing 787 and Airbus A350.
