Qantas has announced that it is expanding its Europe-Australia direct flight services with a new Perth-Paris route, scheduled just in time for the 2024 Olympics, Paralympics, and European summer.
The latest addition marks the airline's re-entry to the French capital after almost 20 years, shaving off roughly three hours from the fastest current travel time between the two cities. It comes after the airline's direct routes from Perth to London and Rome were deemed a resounding success.
Starting 12th July 2024, the 17-hour journey from Perth to Paris will run four times weekly during the peak of European summer using the Boeing 787 Dreamliner. The frequency will reduce to three times a week from mid-August 2024.
These flights will use Qantas’ Terminal 3 at Perth Airport, ensuring smooth domestic connections within Australia.
The new service doesn’t just connect Perth and Paris. It links over 70 European destinations, including major cities includes Barcelona and Munich and 12 French locales, via Qantas’s partner network. A special fare package lets customers land in Paris and return from either London or Rome.
Qantas’s Europe Routes:

- QF5/QF6: Perth-Rome (Boeing 787)
- QF33/QF34: Perth-Paris (Boeing 787)
