Qantas is rolling out new Australian gins and, for the first time, offering Campari in all international cabins as part of its revamped spirits selection, coinciding with the airline’s new winter menu.
The popular Four Pillars Rare Dry Gin will now be the standard gin pour in Qantas’s international First Class, Business Class, and Premium Economy cabins. First inflight and lounge customers will also enjoy a quarterly rotation of independent Australian gins, including Applewood, Brookies, Beachtree ‘Quokka’ Gin, and the Australian Distilling Co ‘Bondi’ Gin.
Campari is joining the menu just in time for the busy European summer travel period and will be available to international customers in all cabins. In premium cabins, Campari will be paired with a new selection of roasted almonds, cashews, and hazelnuts.
Whisky enthusiasts will also benefit from this update, with Tasmania’s award-winning Lark Classic Cask debuting in First Class and Melbourne-based Starward Nova being served in domestic Business Class.
Qantas Creative Director of Food, Beverage, and Service, Neil Perry, and his team of mixologists and sommeliers reviewed nearly 400 different products to curate the new spirit offering.
Perry also crafted the new winter menu to highlight seasonal produce, including plant-based options across all cabins, with each route featuring a menu inspired by the destination.
Qantas onboard winter menu highlights:
- Prawn and kimchi dumplings with marinated cucumbers
- Crudités with wattleseed and beetroot dip, native Australian greens, and Persian feta
- House-made artichoke fagottini pasta with tomato consommé, peas, scallop, and tarragon
- Coconut sticky rice pudding with mango, toasted coconut, and sesame
Qantas Lounge winter menu highlights:
- Hunan style snapper with pickled and salted chillies
