KLM's tradition of uniquely named aircraft takes flight again! This time, employees chose butterflies, a theme reflecting transformation and beauty. These new Airbus A321neos mark a significant milestone in KLM's "Cleaner, Quieter, More Efficient" fleet renewal plan.
These quieter aircraft boast a 21% reduction in CO2 emissions per passenger-kilometer, making KLM a leader in sustainable travel.
The first A321neo, named Swallowtail, is expected to arrive at the end of August. Later this year, the KLM fleet will be strengthened with the addition of Peach Blossom, Common Brimstone and Waved Carpet.
