JetBlue launches New York/London daytime flights

New York-based low-cost airline JetBlue has announced plans to operate daytime flights between JFK and London Heathrow for the first time, with tickets already on sale.

The all-new daily flight option will begin on Saturday, 25 March, with flight JetBlue 1107 departs New York’s John F. Kennedy Airport at 0830 and arriving at London Heathrow Airport at 1845 that same day. The return flight — JetBlue 2220 — will depart London Heathrow at 0825 on Sunday, 26 March, arriving at JFK at 1140 the same day.

The new schedule will bring the total New York to London service to three daily flights, with London Gatwick operating one of these and Heathrow the other two. JetBlue is currently the only American carrier servicing London Heathrow and London Gatwick, with additional daily schedules continuing between Boston Logan International Airport and the two main London airports.

JetBlue flights between New York and Boston to London mainly operate the Airbus A321LR — the long-range variant of the A321neo with 24 swish lie-flat Business Class Mint Suites in a 1-1 configuration in the premium Mint cabin. Each suite boasts window and direct aisle access and a privacy door. Two extra-large suites in the front row of the Mint cabin — branded Mint Studios— offer space enough for two passengers with a companion seat, a large converting lie-flat bed and a 22-inch (56 centimetres) in-flight entertainment screen.     

JetBlue services more than 100 destinations, including the United States, Canada, Latin America and the United Kingdom, with a new service to Paris, France, scheduled for Summer 2023.
