Japan Airlines A350-1000 will fly to NYC & Dallas in 2024

Japan Airlines has ushered in a new era of transpacific luxury by deploying its flagship Airbus A350-1000 on the Tokyo to New York (JFK) route, commencing 24th January 2024. The daily 13-hour journey now features JAL’s most advanced long-haul product, with the route fully transitioned to A350-1000 service following the delivery of a second aircraft. The prior Boeing 777-300ERs have been redeployed to other international destinations.

With the arrival of a third A350-1000, Japan Airlines expanded premium service to the Tokyo–Dallas route, offering a consistent five-star experience across both major U.S. gateways.

The A350-1000 fleet introduces a complete overhaul of First and Business Class, setting new benchmarks in privacy, comfort, and Japanese-inspired design.

The A350-1000 configuration accommodates 239 guests, including:

  • 6 ultra-private First Class suites
  • 54 next-generation Business Class suites
  • 24 Premium Economy seats

Highlights at a glance:

Cabin Ambience: The aircraft’s interior is a tribute to the refined aesthetics of Japanese craftsmanship, creating a tranquil, harmonious environment. Every detail is curated to embody Japanese hospitality—omotenashi—mirroring the award-winning standards set by JAL’s A350-900 and 787-8 fleets.

Seating Innovation: All cabins have undergone significant upgrades. First and Business Class now offer fully enclosed suites, while Premium Economy boasts enhanced privacy and ergonomic comfort, ensuring an elevated journey for every traveler.

Culinary Program: JAL has unveiled a refreshed inflight dining experience, with regionally inspired menus and a commitment to sustainability. The airline has transitioned to eco-friendly tableware, minimizing single-use plastics and emphasizing local Japanese ingredients.

Entertainment & Connectivity: Passengers in all classes enjoy the latest inflight entertainment system, featuring 4K ultra-high-definition screens with Bluetooth audio pairing. Complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi is available, and guests can sync their JAL Mobile App profiles to customize their viewing experience and manage entertainment favorites mid-flight.
