Finnair has successfully completed the €200 million refurbishment of its long-haul cabins, with entire fleet of A350s and A330s updated. Launched in 2022, the state-of-the-art cabin design was implemented within two years.
This project has introduced an entirely new Business Class seat, a brand-new Premium Economy cabin, and a refreshed Economy Class.
Passengers can now enjoy this Finnair experience on all long-haul routes from Helsinki to the USA, Middle East, and Asia.
Finnair was the launch customer for the innovative Business Class seats, developed in collaboration with Collins Aerospace. These unique fixed shell lounge seats maximise space and offer various sitting and sleeping positions, allowing customers to personalise their space for a relaxing long-haul flight.
The cabin design draws inspiration from Finnair's Nordic design language, featuring a warm, dark, comforting colour scheme similar to the airline’s non-Schengen lounges at Helsinki Airport.
Finnair will soon open a new, larger lounge in the Schengen area of Helsinki Airport for Business Class customers and Finnair Plus tier members, with lounge access available to all customers as a travel extra.
The airline has also announced that it is relaunching its popular route to Bodø, Norway - which offers the magical “Midnight Sun”.
Bodø is situated in the Arctic Circle and is one of the fastest-growing cities in the country. The route from Helsinki to Bodø is the only scheduled international flight to the city.
Flights operate five times per week until 12th August.
Apart from the Midnight Sun, Bodø is home to the the strongest whirlpool, Saltstraumen, and Europe’s most accessible glacier, Svartisen. As a European Capital of Culture in 2024, Bodø will be on show this year - entertaining, feeding and accommodating thousands of curious international tourists.
