Finnair is opening of its brand-new Finnair Lounge on 9th July.
Situated on the Schengen side of Helsinki Airport near Gate 21, the lounge promises unmatched comfort and convenience for travellers.
"We are thrilled to open our new Schengen lounge, offering increased space and comfort before departure. In response to feedback from our Finnair Plus tier members, we have included an exclusive Finnair Platinum Corner for Finnair Plus Platinum and Platinum Lumo members," said Ole Orvér, Chief Commercial Officer at Finnair.
Business Class Classic and Flex ticket holders, as well as Finnair Plus Gold members, can access the new Finnair Business Lounge. Lounge access can also be purchased as a travel extra during ticket booking, via Manage booking, or through the Finnair app.
“With the new Finnair Lounge accommodating up to 440 guests—about 150 more than the current lounge—there is ample space for dining, working, resting, and socialising,” said Meri Järvinen, Head of Airport Customer Experience.
Designed by Studio Joanna Laajisto, the lounge captures the serene essence of the Nordics with wooden textures, soft forms, and warm colours reflecting the Finnish landscape. Furniture from prominent Nordic design brands including Artek, Nikari, and Gubi showcase local craftsmanship. The lounge also boasts spectacular views of the runway and the airport gate area.
