Emirates updates its Wine List for 2024

Emirates elevates its renowned in-flight hospitality in 2025 by unveiling an expertly curated portfolio of exceptional wines, reaffirming its leadership in luxury air travel.

As the airline with the world’s largest and most sophisticated wine cellar, Emirates now stores over 6 million bottles in state-of-the-art French cellars. Some vintages are being matured for up to two decades, destined to be poured on board as late as 2040.

Each travel class on Emirates features a bespoke wine selection, refreshed every two weeks. Premium Economy guests enjoy thoughtfully chosen sparkling vintages and reserve reds and whites. In Business and First Class, passengers are treated to exclusive labels from six acclaimed wine regions, as well as rare Ports, such as Graham’s 1979 and Dow’s 1981 Tawny, which are highly sought-after among connoisseurs.

For 2025, Emirates introduces a prestigious lineup of white Burgundy wines, spotlighting Premier and Grand Cru selections like Montrachet 2011, Chevalier-Montrachet 2013, and Corton-Charlemagne 2014. The red Burgundy offering is equally illustrious, with Grand Crus including Échezeaux, Clos Vougeot, and Chambertin gracing the wine list.

Looking ahead, Emirates is set to expand its collection with legendary Bordeaux First Growths from world-famous châteaux such as Château Mouton Rothschild, Château Margaux, Château Haut-Brion, Château Cheval Blanc, and Château d'Yquem. These wines are recognized as the epitome of the Bordeaux 1855 Classification, a benchmark for quality and prestige since the days of Napoleon III.

Emirates’ selection process is meticulous, with a focus on wines that maintain their character both on the ground and at 35,000 feet. Criteria include vibrant fruit profiles, balanced acidity, integrated tannins, oak complexity, and optimal maturity. The Emirates wine library features notable vintages dating back to 2003, chosen for their exceptional ageing potential. Bordeaux wines served in Business Class are aged for 8–10 years, while First Class offerings undergo 12–15 years of cellaring in professional French storage, ensuring peak expression in the sky.

Currently, Emirates’ global route network features 36 distinguished French wines and Champagnes, offering guests a taste of France’s most revered terroirs on every journey.
