Cathay Pacific reopens flagship lounges in Hong Kong

Hong Kong-based airline Cathay Pacific has reopened two of its premium flagship lounges following the lifting of travel restrictions to mainland China.

With the relaxing of foreign travel restrictions on last Sunday, First Class passengers with the Hong Kong Flag carrier can now use The Wing First Lounge at Hong Kong International Airport. Top Tier passengers with Cathay Diamond status and oneworld Emerald membership can also use this lounge.

Meanwhile, the airline’s Business Class passengers have access to The Pier Business Lounge along with Cathay Diamond, Gold and Silver members and frequent flyers with oneworld Emerald and Sapphire status.

Although only two lounges are welcoming guests at this time, The Pier First, The Deck, and The Wing Business will likely follow suit — though there is no indication when exactly this might be.

The welcome move follows the opening of the airline’s lounges at London Heathrow, Shanghai Pudong and Tokyo Haneda Airports.
