BA serves English sparkling wine in Business Class

For the first time, British Airways has started serving English sparking wine - in addition to Champagne (currently Heidsieck Monopole Silver Top Non-Vintage) - to passengers flying in Club World.

The launch wine is non vintage Digby Fine English Brut - with Simpsons Chalklands Cuvee Brut, Wiston Estate Brut, and Balfour Rosé de Noirs to follow. BA already serves Hattingley Valley in First Class. Each wine will appear for three months.

English wine has long believed by its growers and enthusiasts to have limitless potential. Sales of English wines have increased by nearly 70% over the past two years, and the number of vines planted each year has averaged more than 1.6 million. This move by BA is seen as a positive step in making English sparkling wine a more widely available choice.
