Air France opens new LAX premium lounge
Air France has launched its state-of-the-art premium lounge at Los Angeles International Airport, now welcoming guests in the Tom Bradley International Terminal.
Strategically positioned adjacent to the Air France departure gates, this serene oasis offers an immersive pre-flight experience—blending relaxation, refined dining, and quintessential French hospitality.
Access is reserved for Air France La Première, Business Class, and Flying Blue Elite Plus members, as well as qualifying travelers flying with KLM and SkyTeam partners. Open daily from 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 p.m., the expansive lounge covers more than 1,100 square meters (almost 12,000 square feet) and seats up to 172 discerning guests.
The lounge’s ambiance is unmistakably Air France, with a sophisticated palette of deep blues, brilliant whites, and subtle red accents. The interiors showcase an exclusive collection of French design icons, including Patrick Jouin’s Ester chairs, Pierre Paulin’s Ribbon armchairs, Charlotte Perriand’s coffee tables, and lighting by Margaux Keller—creating an environment that is both elegant and inviting.
A Dining Area Celebrating French Cuisine
The centerpiece of the lounge is an elegant dining space inspired by classic Parisian brasseries. Guests can select from intimate single seats, a grand communal table fostering conviviality, or secluded alcoves for privacy. Menus are curated to highlight the season’s best, with rotating selections of hot and cold dishes, savory and sweet creations, and a full array of vegetarian options. Signature plates such as Monkfish à la Provençale, Beef Bourguignon, and slow-braised chicken bring the flavors of France to LAX. An open kitchen is helmed by a dedicated chef, preparing à la minute specialties like sautéed prawns and duck confit cassoulet upon request.
The bar features an extensive list of French wines and Champagnes, premium spirits, regional craft beers, and a curated cocktail and mocktail program led by an expert bartender. Guests may choose from plush bar stools or relax in private nooks outfitted with cozy booths and armchairs for a bespoke lounging experience.
Sustainable Dining Practices
In line with Air France’s ongoing commitment to sustainability, the lounge’s culinary program emphasizes locally sourced, seasonal ingredients. The airline has enhanced its efforts to reduce food waste through portion control, selective sorting, and comprehensive recycling of catering materials. Guests will find water stations and beverage dispensers throughout the lounge, significantly decreasing reliance on single-use plastics and reinforcing the brand’s environmental stewardship.
Clarins Spa Treatment Area
The lounge features a tranquil spa enclave presented in partnership with Clarins, Air France’s renowned skincare collaborator for over two decades. Two intimate treatment suites offer guests complimentary facial therapies, including "anti jetlag," "instant detox," and "illuminating eye-care." Available daily between 11 a.m. and 8:30 p.m., these services can be reserved at the lounge reception. La Première guests benefit from priority access and may also pre-book treatments via their dedicated service hotline.
Private Area for La Première Guests
La Première travelers are welcomed into an exclusive enclave at the lounge’s core, echoing the refined privacy of Air France’s onboard suites. This secluded area, with gentle lighting and panoramic runway views, accommodates up to twelve guests and offers a private dining experience. La Première passengers may also indulge in a signature "de-stress" Clarins treatment tailored for ultimate relaxation.
Flying Blue Ultimate members enjoy a dedicated space adjacent to the dining area, outfitted with oversized armchairs for a residential feel. A tranquil sanctuary is also available for guests seeking a peaceful retreat. Business amenities include a modern workspace with ergonomic seating and a soundproof cabin for phone calls, ensuring discretion and calm.
The entry foyer features seamless eligibility kiosks, complimentary Wi-Fi, abundant power and USB outlets at every seat, and shower suites accessible throughout the day. Guests can access a wide array of digital publications via the Air France Play app.
This season, Air France operates up to 26 weekly flights between Paris-Charles de Gaulle and Los Angeles International Airport, with 21 utilizing Boeing 777-300ER aircraft featuring La Première suites. Additionally, up to five weekly flights link Los Angeles and Papeete (Tahiti), catering to both business and leisure travelers.
