Business Class has just got a little cheaper on SkyTeam members KLM and Air France as they have unbundled their fares with a new “Business Light” offering.
As with other airlines that have unbundled - including Emirates, Qatar Airways and Finnair - there are trade-offs - and passengers who buy Business Light tickets will lose:
- Lounge access
- A free checked bag - with only one being complimentary
- Free advance seat selection - you can only choose your seat at check-in
- A full refund if you cancel your flight - and a Euros 300 surcharge for changes (plus fare difference)
The airlines have rolled out the new fares which apply to all intercontinental routes from Europe to all destinations - except North America, China, Vietnam, and Mauritius.
