Air France - La Première passengers get upgrade at Paris CdG

Passengers enjoying arguably the finest First Class experience in the skies - La Première on Air France - are due for an upgrade at Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport this July, just in time for the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

From arrival at the airport to settling into their suite aboard the aircraft, Air France offers a fully private customer journey. The airline has introduced optional suites at the airport, providing even more privacy alongside the La Première lounge.

Meanwhile, as Air France is preparing to unveil its new La Première cabin next Winter, it is set to introduce an exclusive passenger airport experience this Summer.

Dedicated Check-in Lobby

On arriving at Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport, La Première guests will be greeted by a dedicated Concierge who will take care of their luggage. This July, guests will be guided to a new exclusive check-in lobby, the first step in their personalised airport journey. Here, an Air France team will manage all departure-related procedures, including check-in and luggage assistance. This area, equipped with 15 seats and two private lounges, ensures enhanced privacy for guests. La Première passengers arriving at the airport can also relax post-flight, use shower facilities, and collect their checked baggage.

This check-in lobby features a palette of white, gray, and accents of red, the lobby is filled with natural light and furnished with pieces from renowned French designers like Pierre Paulin and Christophe Pillet. Every detail, from stitching to upholstery, reflects haute couture.

After completing formalities, guests will be escorted to the La Première lounge via a private passage with a dedicated security checkpoint. Along the way, images of the airline's iconic winged seahorse will immerse guests in the La Première experience.

La Première Lounge

Designed by architect Didier Lefort, the La Première lounge spans 1,000 square meters (10,700 square feet). This retreat offers serene spaces and promises an extraordinary experience. Gastronomy is a highlight, with a menu and wine selection by Alain Ducasse and his Team. At the heart of the lounge is a luxurious spa and beauty treatments area, managed by Sisley.

New Private Suites

La Première passengers can now reserve exclusive suites adjacent to the lounge, offering the utmost privacy before a journey or during layovers. Each of the three suites spans nearly 45 square meters (500 square feet), with the option to connect two of them. Guests will be guided through the suite options and amenities by a dedicated butler. Each suite includes a living area, a bedroom with a double bed, a bathroom, and an outdoor patio.

As part of Air France’s La Première service, this new private airport journey includes access to the La Première Lounge. Airport suites - however - are available as an optional add-on, with prices starting at 800 euros - the cost of a basic room at one of Paris's top luxury hotels.

Architectural and Design Details

The design of the suites aligns with the check-in lobby and La Première lounge, featuring privacy pods with distinct characters. Decorated with iconic French design pieces, including Charlotte Perriand's writing table, Pierre Paulin's Ribbon chair, and Philippe Starck's Privé sofa, each suite also showcases unique artwork by French artists, adding cultural richness to the luxurious surroundings.

La Première Cabin Redesign

Following the new airport experience, Air France will introduce its redesigned La Première cabin in Winter 2024-25. This cabin will feature the longest configuration on the market, with five windows per passenger and up to three modular, entirely private living spaces: a seat, a chaise lounge, and a flat bed. This innovative configuration will extend La Première across more aircraft.

By summer 2024, Air France will have 19 Boeing 777-300 ERs with La Première suites, serving destinations including Abidjan, Dubai, Los Angeles, Miami, New York-JFK, San Francisco, Sao Paulo, Singapore, Tokyo-Haneda, and Washington.
