Qatar Airways has launched its new Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner passenger aircraft which features the airline’s new Business Class Suite. The ultramodern aircraft – which has a total passenger capacity of 311 seats including thirty Business Class Suites – will initially service Qatar Airways routes from its Doha hub to Athens, Barcelona, Dammam, Karachi, Kuala Lumpur, Madrid, and Milan.
Qatar Airways operates one of the youngest fleets in the world and the 787-9 is the latest member of the Boeing aircraft in its portfolio. The airline has been investing in modern twin engine aircraft, underscoring the airline’s commitment to sustainability, and achieving net zero carbon emissions by 2050. Qatar Airways has been flying the Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner aircraft - the latest 787-9 model promises added reliability and greater fuel-efficiency.
Crafted with the unique Qatar Airways design DNA and appealing to the most discerning of travellers, the new Adient Ascent Business Class Suite embodies a contemporary design that – according to the airline - is personal, spacious, and functional - allowing passengers to relax in their own private sanctuary.
Each Business Class Suite is equipped with sliding privacy doors, wireless mobile device charging and a 79 inch (2 metres) lie-flat bed. Arranged in a herringbone pattern, in a 1-2-1 configuration, each suite has direct aisle access with a sliding door to ensure the ultimate in privacy and comfort. Passengers seated in adjoining centre suites can slide the privacy panels away at the touch of a button to create their very own enclosed private space.
The Business Class Suite is complemented with the airline’s legendary onboard service. This includes a wide selection of international cuisine, food and beverages, as well as healthy vegan meal options that are a part of the carrier’s à la carte dine-on-demand menu.
On larger Qatar Airways aircraft – including the Airbus A350-900 and 1000 series – the carrier provides its Business Class passengers the ultimate seat in its class – the Qsuite. While the new Business Class Suite is slightly smaller than its acclaimed “big sister”, the airline is convinced that it will be a hit with passengers who fly the 787-9 Dreamliner.
Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive, His Excellency Mr. Akbar Al-Baker, said “The new Business Class Suite sets yet another industry standard with a uniquely private experience for premium passengers travelling with us.”
