The French long-haul leisure carrier Corsair has received the first of its five Airbus A330-900neo aircraft, featuring the airline´s new cabin products
The Corsair A330-900neo boasts 20 Business Class and 21 Premium Economy seats, boosting the number of premium seats compared to the rest of the airline´s fleet. The Business Class cabin features the full-flat, all-aisle access Stelia Aerospace OPAL seats. It offers USB & power outlets and a 15.6-inch entertainment screen.
Corsair only introduced a Business Class to its fleet in 2017 and has seen the demand for its premium product increase. With the new aircraft and cabins, Corsair is going head-to-head with Air France on its routes.
Last year the Paris-Orly based airline retired all its Boeing 747 aircraft, opting for an entire Airbus A330 fleet. The A300-900neo is the latest generation Airbus A330 and provides the carrier a much longer range and better fuel efficiency.
It is expected that Corsair will receive the rest of its A330-900neo order by the end of 2022. It will then have a fleet of 14 aircraft. The airline says it will now focus on its core leisure Caribbean and Indian Ocean routes – putting its planned expansion to the USA on hold.
