The MD-87 flew for Iberia for eighteen years and was sold to the small Spanish carrier Saicus Air in 2009. The former cargo operator intended to start passenger flights between Spain and Guinea-Bissau with the aircraft, but ceased operations in 2010 due to financial difficulties.
