I'm sorry, but this is totally unacceptable.
It is correct that an adjustment has been made between you and the travel insurance. This is first of all for other expenses than the ones that I sent reciepts for to you. Both you and the travel insurer demands reciepts in original, so there can be no duplicates here. Secondly, this adjustment only amounts to 198 USD from your side. This does not in any way except you from your responsibilities, as according to the Montreal Convention (OJ L 194, 18/07/2001 p. 39-49) Article 22, the liability of the carrier in the case of destruction, loss, damage or delay of baggage is limited to 1000 Special Drawing Rights for each passenger, amounting to approximately 1400 USD. To conclude, from your liability in the matter at hand, only 198 USD of a maximum total of 2800 USD has been accounted for.
From this I can not see why you could not keep to your policy in this area. If it is correct that your policy is to compensate at least 50 USD per person and day the bags are delayed (which is what I repeatedly was told by your support), we claim a compensation for the three days that the bags where missing, totalling 300 USD. If you prefer to compensate in frequent flyer miles, we can also accept 30.000 eurobonus points as an alternative.

I have reviewed your claim. Your insurance has made a claim on your behalf. As that claim has been settled we are not able to accept your claim. I do understand you disappointment but we are not able compensate more than once for the same claim.

Jag verkar ha svårt att nå fram här, det måste väl gå att vända sig till både sitt försäkringsbolag och resebolaget så länge som det rör sig om olika kostnader som jag haft, alltså utlägg för olika saker. Tycker ni jag ska försöka en vända till med AC på något sätt? Finns AC någonstans i Sverige dit man kan vända sig? Eller ska jag vända mig till någon annan instans? Jag vill ju helst inte lägga ner en massa tid och kraft, det rör sig ju inte om enorma pengar och jag har ju redan fått en del täckt av försäkringsbolaget, jag är mest förbluffad och smått förbannad över att bolaget försöker smita undan på det här sättet, är alltså mer en principsak.
