Time for some food! Lunch service would begin soon after takeoff. The Singapore Girl preparing my satay.
For my main course, I had 'Booked the Cook' and it was the Hainanese Chicken Rice! Hainanese Chicken Rice is one of Singapore's most famous hawker dish. Yes, hawker dish. BBC wrote an...
NEXT PART - LHR TO SIN SQ 305
The registration of the SQ Boeing 777 was 9V-SWK, a retrofitted Boeing 777 with the New Business class product. According to flightradar24, this aircraft first flew in June 2007
I managed to snag seat 11K on this flight. Fortunate. For some reason, when I...
From London, I flew on to Washington DC on Virgin Atlantic Upper Class. I have put the links in another thread. For this thread, I will just focus on the Singapore Airlines leg. Coming back from USA, I had a layover at Heathrow and spent some time in the SilverKris lounge.
From Terminal 3...

Now we come to the first leg of the flight - SQ 306, SIN-LHR. From the lounge, it could potentially be a fairly long walk to the gates that your SQ flight departs from so give sufficient time. One oft-repeated criticism of Singapore Changi is that they do the security screening at the gates...
The SilverKris Lounge at Singapore Changi Terminal 3 is SQ's flagship lounge. There are two sections within the lounge, one for Business Class and the other for First. I believe all Star Alliance carriers will use the SilverKris lounge. Take note that SQ sets up a separate KrisFlyer Gold...
Once through immigration, instead of heading straight to the lounge, I walked around a bit to stretch the legs first. Then I decided to head to the Long Bar by Raffles which is located above the DFS store. This place opened about a year back and provides complimentary taster cocktails. It was...
SQ flies from Singapore Changi Terminal 3. My flight was SQ 306, which departs 0110hrs. As I had completed my work for the day, I went to the airport rather early. Take note the roads in Singapore are more congested during the evening peak hours so the ride took a bit longer than usual, but...
We flew on Ryanair from London Stansted to Genoa, Italy in late 2015. For how much we paid, it was pretty good! And yes, to save money, They use the stairs that retract from the aircraft. It does look a bit flimsy, so be careful!
Next, to the flight proper.
This is part 1, boarding and take-off.
This is part 2, the meals on board this short 7 plus hour flight. For dinner, I had an awesome Japanese inspired Togarashi Salmon salad on soba noodles. It was good!
Continuing, this was my return flight, which should be VS22, Washington DC to London Heathrow.
Snippets of checking in at Dulles airport, plus taking the train to A Gates where Virgin departs. I made my way to the Virgin Atlantic Clubhouse.
Watch me having a feast at the Virgin Atlantic...

Some photos of the traffic, which could get very heavy during their peak times. Our driver told us that Malta had a serious car problem. Coming back, I googled the issue and indeed, they have a serious car problem. Way too many cars for a small island. They don't have an underground system...
Fun to watch! I made this video while watching the submarine leave port. Incidentally, this was the second time I have spotted a submarine while on a cruise. The first was on the NCL Jade, when we saw a submarine sailing on the Bospherous Straits.
Alright! Enough submarine watching (which...

Today, the ship will call at Valletta, Malta. When we booked this cruise, about a year ago, the ship was scheduled to dock at Tunis. Unfortunately, tragedy struck with the mass shootings of passengers from the ship. Condolences to all the deceased in that...
