Atlantis The Royal

A BusinessClass.com Verified Hotel

Atlantis, The Royal presents a distinct architectural statement, similar to a stack of individual blocks imagined as a “deconstructed” building, soaring up 43 stories with a unique curved outline playing with air and space, designed by Kohn Pederson Fox Associates. Close to sister resort Atlantis, The Palm, the two combined form a formidable presence on Palm Island unlike anything else in Dubai. Some of the 795 rooms, suites and two-floor penthouses, which are spread over three towers, can be connected to form private floors with all enjoying an unequalled view, walk-in wardrobes and dressing rooms, dressed in an airy contemporary elegant style with bespoke amenities by Hermès, Graff and Frette and handstitched mattresses by Hypnos. Forty-four of the suites and Signature Penthouses have coveted private infinity pools and terraces with outdoor kitchens and dining tables with dedicated butler service. For that “hotel within a hotel” moment, book club accommodation with access to the Royal Club lounge and all the delicious tasty treats that involves. Water plays an important role at the resort and in total, there are 90 pools across the resort. These include those within the residences for longer stay guests, two adult pools, a family pool, one for kiddies and a lap pool in the spa, together with a series of ten water features offering both a contemplative ambiance or just a spectacular wow effect. These range from the Porte Cochère water wall, twin lifts surrounded by water, jellyfish aquariums (the largest in the world with 4,000 jellyfish), lobby aquariums using LED screen technology and a stunning Skyblaze Fountain where fire meets water in a orchestrated performance. Stays here also offer shared complimentary access with their sister property to Atlantis Aquaventure, the largest waterpark in the world, The Lost Chambers Aquarium, Dolphin Point, Sea Lion Point and the two kilometre private sandy beach.

A curated collection of artworks dresses the walls of the resort. When it comes to wining and dining, as you might expect, the resort has signed up some of the world’s top chefs with 17 restaurants, lounges and bars including eight celebrity chef venues - Dinner by Heston Blumenthal with a contemporary British menu; Jaleo by José Andrés for Spanish tapas; Ariana’s Persian Kitchen for Persian fare, La Mar by Gastón Acurior for a touch of Peru; Estiatoria Milos by Costas Spiliadis offering a Greek Mediterranean menu; The Little Venice Cake Company by Mich Turner for speciality cakes; the first ever Nobu by the Beach for Japanese Perusivan treats in a relaxed poolside setting and Ling Ling for modern Asian fusion cuisine. There are three more casual venues including Gastronomy, a re-imagined buffet come live cooking stations market with a farm to table concept; Malibu 90265 for a Californian take on an American diner; the House of Desserts for Dubai’s best artisan gelato, waffles and ice cream and The Royal Tearoom for snacks and refreshments throughout the day. When it comes to beach clubs and bars, Atlantis The Royal offers up the afore-mentioned Nobu by the Beach, a refined pool and beach club for dining in a cabana or at the restaurant, soothed by live DJs; Cloud 22 set around an infinity pool up in the clouds with duplex cabanas offering the perfect space to enjoy a French Mediterranean menu and Resonance by Heston Blumenthal, a chic molecular bar to tempt the tonsils.
