The Ned

A BusinessClass.com Verified Hotel

The Ned is situated within the Square Mile in the Edwin Lutyens’ (“Ned”) designed former headquarters of the Midland Bank. Imposing, grand and occupying a large footprint, the hotel is awash with 1920’s retro glamour and vintage touches and offers 250 rooms and suites. These range from cosy crash pad rooms for shorter stays to Grade I listed fifth floor Heritage Rooms filled with period details and studios cleverly designed within the former stairwells. The premium suites include Terrace Suites with city views, a Duplex Suite spanning two floors and the ultimate, the two bedroomed Lutyen’s Suite named for the architect.

The six restaurants are housed in the former banking hall and lower ground floor and include Cecconi’s for Italian delights, Millie’s Lounge for classic British cuisine, The Nickel Bar for American staples and cocktails, Electric Bar & Diner for American favourites, Malibu Kitchen for clean Californian cuisine; Kaia for Asian-Pacific favourites; The Lutyens Grill for fish and meat prime cuts and The Parlour, a Jazz and cabaret bar. For relaxation, hotel guests may use Ned’s Club Spa for beauty treatments, a Hammam, hairdressing, a fully equipped fitness centre with classes and a rooftop heated pool with city views.
