A BusinessClass.com Verified Hotel

The Ritz-Carlton Residences at Dorado are located within Dorado Beach, A Ritz-Carlton Reserve, an exclusive and lavish oceanfront resort situated on the northern coast of Puerto Rico, set against the backdrop of the stunning Atlantic Ocean lush rainforests. The resort's location provides easy access to the renowned Dorado Beach Golf Club and the historic city of San Juan, with its lively culture and historic sites just a short drive away. The resort dates back to the 1950’s when it was owned by Laurance S Rockefeller and is situated on 20 hectares of the Rockefeller estate, designed around the surrounding nature landscape with the building height no taller than a palm tree. Once a grapefruit and coconut plantation, early guests included Amelia Earhart, Elizabeth Taylor and John F Kennedy. These luxurious Residences form part of the accommodation offered at the Reserve and are perfect for stays of four days or over when added privacy is required. There is personalised service from an Embajador, an oversized outdoor living space with a private plunge pool, an outside grill with a dining space and seating areas - everything carefully designed to ape true residential living including a golf cart for moving around. Facilities include a gourmet kitchen, a den and spacious contemporary living, dining and laundry rooms – everything you need to feel a “home away from home”.  These condo-style Residences range from two- or three-bedroom spaces to two- or three-bedroom Residences with Den. The three-bedroom Penthouse is situated on the third floor and feature a furnished rooftop terrace with a plunge pool or for more space, try the Four Bedroom Penthouse with Den. The largest Residence is the Five Bedroom Villa, a two-storey luxury home with direct beach access, a private infinity pool and a whirlpool. A certain amount of facilities and services are included within the rate – roundtrip airport transfers, welcome cocktails, bicycles, Embajador, a visit to the Ambassadors of the Environment Learning Center and a few meals but for other facilities, a resort fee will be charged. Facilities include a beautiful, serviced beach, two swimming pools, a water park, a state-of-the-art fitness centre and the two 18-hole golf courses designed to capture the beauty of nature. There is also the Spa Botanico, with an infinity reflection pool, a pineapple garden and hidden treatment rooms sited amidst the verdant foliage and offering a slew of regenerative therapies and treatments. The resort offers a variety of activities, from water sports and tennis to bird-watching and nature walks in the nearby rainforest. The Ritz Kids programme ensures that young guests have a memorable and educational experience with the Ambassadors of the Environment programme headed by Jean-Michel Cousteau, inspiring kiddies to interact with the world around them. Choose to sail by yacht or catamaran, for adventure and snorkelling or for romantic sunset sails. For dining, head to Coa for grill inspired meals, the Positivo Sand Bar for Asian-fusion tapas, sushi and meals under the sun for that “feet in the sand” moment, Omakase for a touch of Japan and Flor De Sal for al fresco Puerto Rican dining. Tere is also La Cocina Gourmet for coffees, gelatos and more with a culinary centre running alongside for classes and demonstrations.
