Nolinski Paris

Nolinski Paris is located in the very heart of central Paris on the Avenue de l’Opéra, close to the famed department stores of Galeries Lafayette and Printemps du Louvre and to historic Paris. The Opéra Garnier, the Comédie Française, the Jardin des Tuileries, Le Palais-Royal and Le Louvre are but a stroll away. Behind a smart 1880 Haussmannian façade, once a former office block, lies a timeless gem of a luxury hotel, stylishly designed by Jean-Louis Deniot, offering just 45 rooms including nine suites set out over six floors and ranging in size from 21 square metres to 54 square metres for the Joséphine Suite named for the Jazz Age star. Each guest room is decorated with the style of a private residence with handpicked books; antiques and artworks; vintage furniture pieces; fluffy grey and white herringbone rugs over concrete floors and a predominantly grey and white colour palette enlivened by complementing muted colours. This is an artfully designed statement hotel which opens with a minimalist slab of green Carrara marble for the reception desk to a hand-painted mural of swirling stormy sky grey clouds encircling the grand staircase. Expect polished finishes and decorative painted surfaces contrasting with mid-century modern, contemporary or Louis XVI furnishings, antiques and vintage pieces and lacquered armoires shaped like travelling trunks. 

For wining and dining, Nolinski Le Restaurant under the helm of Executive Chef Philip Chronopoulos, who also heads up sister restaurant, the two Michelin starred Palais Royal Restaurant nearby, serves an elevated yet unpretentious French menu with a Mediterranean influence within a John Whelan designed dining room which nods to both Art Deco and the 1970s. The Cocktail Bar is cosily located in the Grand Salon, under a shimmering ceiling of silver leaf with hand-crafted paint effects on the walls created by Florence Girette. A subterranean spa – Spa Nolinski by La Colline - keeps body and soul in peaceful harmony with a subtly lit 16 metre lap pool highlighted by a mirrored ceiling and an enormous abstract landscape running alongside, with beauty treatments by La Colline in three cabins, a sauna and a Hammam with personal fitness coaches on request.
