Maison Bréguet

A BusinessClass.com Verified Hotel

Maison Bréguet is the dreamchild of two young real estate entrepreneurs – Samuel Gelrubin and Brice Errera – who saw the promise of a former industrial factory where washing machines were produced in Paris’ 11th arrondissement, envisaging instead a luxury, boutique hotel. On the outskirts of the Marais, close to the Place de la Bastille where the prison once stood, the Maison Bréguet was designed by London-based architects, Sagrada with an interior design by Juan Alvarez. There are 50 individually styled guest rooms, ranging from a cosy entry level 14 square metres standard room up to a more generous 25 square metres for the deluxe rooms. Luxury linens, toiletries from Maison Margiela, Nespresso machines – the normal “must-haves” are all here. The Junior Suites range from 28 – 34 square metres, accommodating from two to four people whilst the pièce de résistance has to be the two-bedroomed “The Little House Deluxe Suite”, set over two floors with a private garden and patio. Design details are king here with chevron marble tiles and a claw foot tub in the bathroom, custom furnishings and lighting, curated books and French doors opening out onto the patio in the lounge, all with luxurious materials used to create this oasis “house within a hotel”. The ground floor Restaurant offers a glass roofed restful space with a terrace opening out onto a patio backed by a verdant green plant wall – a world away from the city streets outside. Market fresh ingredients are cooked within the open kitchen, providing a modern French cuisine for all day dining with either a Parisian or Mediterranean brunch served every Sunday.

The Bar at the centre of The Restaurant offers a range of innovative cocktails devised by noted mixologist Nicolas De Soto whilst The Wine Room offers a wine and spirits cellar overlooking the garden with an eye-catching table to sit at. The hotel also features its own perfectly styled subterranean Spa Maison Bréguet, ideal for a little me-time in the centre of the city. Alongside the treatment room with a menu of facial and body treatments devised by Olivier Lecocq, there is also an eight-metre indoor swimming pool, a sauna, Hammam and a small, 24/7 Fitness Centre. Personal training, boxing, yoga and HIIT classes are available on request.
