Lotte New York Palace

A BusinessClass.com Verified Hotel

Lotte New York Palace is an intriguing mix of the old with the new, consisting of a portion of the listed and beautifully ornate Villard Houses, built in the 1880s built in a U-shape surrounding an external courtyard on Madison Avenue and a 55-story skyscraper erected a century later in the 1980s. The property is extensive with 909 rooms including 87 suites and offers two experiences – The Palace accommodation and The Towers rooms and suites with upgraded amenities. The 733 Palace rooms and suites are larger than most in the city with the entry level accommodation a spacious 33 square metres moving up to the largest Palace accommodation – the Palace Two Bedroom Signature Suite – at a roomy 142 square metre, accommodating up to six guests comfortably. The feel is residential classically inspired opulence with contemporary touches.

The Towers accommodation is almost like a “hotel within a hotel” with guest rooms and suites located on the top fourteen floors of the property with a private reception and concierge. Room sizes start at 43 square metres for the Luxury Towers Room ranging up to 334 square metres for The Imperial Suite inspired by Versailles and 465 for the Penthouse spread out over three floors with private lifts, a rooftop terrace and 5.5 metre windows with panoramic NYC views. Other options include the Jewel Suite by Martin Katz displaying pieces showcasing the work of the legendary jeweller and the three-floor, two-bedroom Champagne Suite, complete with a 8.8 metre mural by French artists Alex et Marine. When craving sustenance, the wood panelled expanse of the Villard Restaurant provides an iconic setting to start the day well with brunch at the weekends whilst the ornate Renaissance-styled Gold Room apes back to the Gilded Age with innovative cocktails and a small plates menu. For sweet treats, there is the Pomme Palais, a boutique bakery, whilst for connoisseurs of rare spirits, champagnes and wines, the intimate surroundings of Rarities showcases the style of the 19th century. For wellness, head to the 181 square metre TechnoGym equipped Fitness Centre with personal trainers on tap or relax in the ila Only Spa, the first ila Spa in the US and de-stress and relax with treatments using farm-grown organic ingredients in one of seven treatment rooms. The Spa also includes bespoke hair and nail services plus a private movement studio with yoga classes on demand whilst the Cedric Salon in the Villard Mansion will see you always looking coiffed.
