Loews Regency New York Hotel

A BusinessClass.com Verified Hotel

Loews Regency New York is located on the corner of Park Avenue and 61st Street on the Upper East Side of Manhattan, just a few short steps to Fifth Avenue, Central Park, the Rockefeller Center and Museum Mile. The property is family owned and first opened its doors in 1963 with serene, modern interiors inspired by Art Deco, offering a subdued metropolitan colour palette. With 379 guest rooms including 58 suites, the four categories of guest room all have city views; executive desks with ergonomic chairs; luxury linens; state of the art tech; marble bathrooms; bathroom mirror TVs and Julien Farel bathroom amenities. With each of the suites enjoying its own personal style, the most interesting categories are the four Terrace/Atrium Suites with glass conservatories offering stunning Manhattan views, the Terrace Suite North, Terrace Suite South and Park Avenue Terrace Suite with private terraces and full kitchens perfect for family friendly extended stays and the six extraordinary signature suites. This latter category is where the accommodation morphs into another level with each designed by a specific designer – the two bedroom Nate Berkus Apartment for apartment style living on the 21st floor as imagined by the celebrity TV designer; Meyer Davis Studio-Inc for the eclectic Uptown Bohemian Suite and the two bedroom clean lined Bespoke Suite; Rottet Studio for the Glamour Suite reimagining what Marilyn Monroe would have liked and the Pop Art Suite featuring Marilyn as depicted by Andy Warhol with Haynes-Roberts, Inc designing an ode to 1970’s Milanese style with their two bedroom offering.

For some serious me-time, head to the Julien Farel Salon & Spa, a 929 square metre urban oasis offering over 100 services for hairstyling, spa treatments and therapies and nail services or head to the fitness centre for some Peloton action. For food and drink, The Regency Bar & Grill is the originator of the Power Breakfast with its all-day dining bar and grill; The Regency Bar offers speciality cocktails with a locally inspired all day dining menu whilst the Lobby Lounge, with its full wall Nina Helms sculpture, is the perfect place for a restorative coffee. Another venue for coffee and snacks is the ground floor Sant Ambroeus Coffee Bar, an Italian-styled New York café. Loews was the first hotel chain to offer a pet programme so of course pooches are welcomed here with open arms, a gourmet room service menu and a whole host of bedding, bowls, toys and treats. They will even take Fido for a walk too.
