Hôtel Lancaster Paris Champs-Elysées

A BusinessClass.com Verified Hotel

Hôtel Lancaster Paris Champs Elysées, a rather smart and sophisticated townhouse with the feel of a luxury residence, dates from around 1900 and lies conveniently just off the Champs Elysées of central Paris. With a layered look devised by Studio Jean Philippe Nuel, featuring classical Parisian décor and antiques mixed with more contemporary pieces, this property has seen the greats of the golden age of cinema pass through her doors – Clark Gable, Grace Kelly and Marlene Dietrich – just a few of those who made this property their pied à terre when in the city. French doors opening onto Juliet balconies; marble fireplaces; pastel colour palettes; parquet floors; high end linens and more; each of the 44 rooms and ten suites have their own individual, timeless elegance with a melange of styles and artifacts from different time periods. Room sizes start at a cosy 20 square metres of living space rising up to an expansive 85 square metres for the hotel’s masterpiece – the Marlene Dietrich Suite where she lived for a time in the 1930s – and which contains a smattering of her private things alongside a grand piano in what feels more like a private apartment. For pampering and relaxation, head to the eighth and top floor - with views out over Sacré Coeur and the Eiffel Tower - and the Lancaster Private Spa & Fitness by Terre de Mars with two fully fitted treatment rooms, a Jacuzzi, Hammam, a petite gym filled with TechnoGym equipment and kits that can be used in individual rooms.

For wining and dining, proceed to the all-day dining enclave of Restaurant Monsieur for a menu devised by chef Sebastien Giroud with prime produce from the width and breadth of France, prepared and delivered with unexpected flavours. In clement weather, the restaurant spills out onto the pretty courtyard garden. For delicious cocktail confections, champagne, wines and other spirits, Le Bar du Lancaster should be your first stop, now run in conjunction with Copperbay with the interiors showing their brand colours. Enjoy their Ten Top Cocktails menu selecting five voted by the public and five by top bartenders around the world with a number of all-time classics including the Mojito, the Cosmopolitan and the Old Fashioned.
