The hotel is owned by its President and General Manager Roberto E. Wirth, fifth generation of the famous Swiss hotelier family who became co-owners of the hotel with the Hasslers in the 1920s. He is often seen in the hotel lobby, welcoming guests - as the family always has – with warmth and charm.

There is also a small but perfectly formed lake complete with rowing boats, temples, statues, and cafés.
Piazza Navona, located a 15-minute-walk away, was built on the site of the Stadium of Domitian/Circus Agonalis in the 1st century AD - and represents a significant example of Baroque Roman architecture.
