Fauchon L'Hotel Paris

A BusinessClass.com Verified Hotel

Fauchon L’Hôtel Paris is a new departure for Paris’ well-established gourmet house on the Place de la Madeleine, a building dating from the Hausmann era and revived by Parisian architect, Richard Martinet. Trying to retain as many of the original fittings as possible – the original mouldings, doors, balconies etc – the style is grounded in Fauchon’s DNA with its brand colours of magenta and black joining the property’s tonal palette either as pink accessories or black herringbone floors to bring an eclectic style to life. Even the shower screens show glimpses of gold with the carpets illustrating the graphic fonts of the brand.  As one might expect from the owners of an epicurean powerhouse, gastronomy also plays its part with metallic dusky pink cupboard-like Gourmet Bars which fling open to reveal of decadent treats, customised to taste and replenished daily, in each guest room with any Fauchon item offered free of charge with leftover goodies packaged to take home. There are just 37 sleekly chic guest rooms and 17 suites at the property awash with contemporary, residential style with furniture pieces custom designed and original pieces of artwork. Bose speakers, smart TVs and an in-room tablet serving as an entertainment hub ensures access to newspapers and magasines plus music and movies. Thoughtful amenities include Dyson hairdryers; backlit magnifying mirrors; pillow menus; luxury linens and TOTO toilets. The entry point rooms start at 25 square metres, still with that effortless style whilst the 45 square metres Duplex Eiffel Tower Suite has a rock and roll vibe, coming complete with guitars, record decks and speakers with a balcony overlooking the rooftops of Paris. The two-bedroom Fauchon Suite is the jewel in the crown, occupying a corner position with 100 square metres of living space, unmatched views out over the Madeleine and a chef on call.

When it comes to eating and drinking, the Grand Café Fauchon offers its own pink, black and white take on brasserie style and its outdoor terrace overlooking the Madeleine Church is the place to be for all day dining, indulgent delights and sharing plates until the wee small hours. There is also a Tea Garden under a glass roof where you can also enjoy signature cocktails and Fauchon’s teas together with The Store and Cellar of The Grand Café Fauchon with a selection of gourmet treats. They have also squeezed in a small spa on property. The intimate Beauty Spa offers two treatment rooms, a Hammam and a fully equipped fitness room with in-room beauty services including hair styling, manicures and pedicures. Even better, they will serve a “Gourmet Moment” of afternoon tea Fauchon style when you are pampered. There are also yoga and fitness coaches on tap.
