A BusinessClass.com Verified Hotel

Cotton House Hotel is situated in the heart of Barcelona's bustling Eixample district, a luxurious retreat that combines history, style and sophistication. Housed in a 19th-century neoclassical building once the former headquarters of the Association of Cotton House Manufacturers, this boutique hotel is a serene oasis amidst the vibrant city. Cotton House Hotel's central location allows guests to explore Barcelona's top attractions with ease. The iconic Passeig de Gràcia, home to Gaudí's architectural masterpieces and high-end boutiques, is just a short stroll away. Additionally, the historic Gothic Quarter and the vibrant La Rambla are within convenient reach, making the hotel the perfect base for experiencing the city's rich culture and heritage. Cotton House Hotel features 83 rooms including five suites, each meticulously designed to offer guests a haven of comfort and refinement. The design style seamlessly blends classic elegance with contemporary touches, creating an ambiance of timeless luxury. High ceilings, marble floors and a stunning spiral staircase are just a few of the architectural highlights that showcase the hotel's historic charm. The 90 square metre Vichy Suites are very popular. A duplex space with a 25 square metre furnished private terrace, it is located on the hotel’s upper floor near to the swimming pool with views out over the Gran Via. It can be accessed from the hotel on both floors – both leading to sitting rooms. For relaxation, there are several facilities offered by the property including the stately Library once used by members of the Cotton Producers Guild for meetings or as a social club. It forms a similar function today being the venue for Afternoon Tea and for meeting friends and family surrounded by books. There is also a spacious landscaped outdoor terrace for enjoying a breath of fresh air when the weather is fine, a rooftop outdoor saltwater swimming pool for a dip with a view and an inhouse gym for maintaining fitness regimes. Guests may also enjoy spa treatments at the Mayan Luxury Spa next door to the hotel with products by French beauty specialist Anne Semonin. One lovely touch – and a living link between the Cotton House and its original owners – L’Atelier used to be the space where guild-members withdrew so their tailors could take their measurements. Today the hotel offers its guests the services of an artisanal tailor via Santa Eulalia and once again, measurements would be taken in L’Atelier. For food and wine, head to Batuar, the hotel’s restaurant open from 7am until midnight for non-stop dining and casual tapas and cocktails. With a colonial feel from the panelled walls and leather banquette seating, the room opens out onto a sunlit terrace for summer dining. Why Batuar you might ask? Again, a link to the past. Batuar is the name of the machine responsible for pressing cotton to eliminate its impurities during production. Breakfast is served in the Batuar Breakfast Room.
