Spam and account attacks from PayPal ?

Kan nogen rådgive? I have got several dubious mails from PayPal and wonder if they are genuine. Today arrived the following:



Dear Paypal Customer,



We need your help resolving an issue with your PayPal account. Meanwhile, to help protect your account, we've temporarily limited what you can do with it.



What's going on?

We noticed some unusual activity on your PayPal account and are concerned

about potential unauthorized account access.



What to do next

Please log in to your PayPal account and follow the steps there to confirm

your identity and recent account activity. To help protect your account,

your PayPal account will remain limited until you complete the necessary

steps.



What's the problem?

We need a little bit more information about you to help confirm your

identity. Case ID Number: PP-008-119-347-8xx

Börja med att gå till paypal's website och se ifall du kommer åt ditt konto. Det där kan ju vara ett phising-försök i sig.



Min grundregel när jag får mail som ser ganska äkta ut, är att aldrig klicka på länkar i dessa utan istället manuellt gå till siten för att se om det stämmer.
 
@pep Klicka aldrig på länkar du får från PayPal i mailen. Gå in på deras hemsida

och logga in - det är med största sannolikhet ett phisingförsök.



Edit: Agehall var snabbast på bollen..
 
Oftast brukar det räcka att få ens mailklient att visa hela mailadressen som det är skickat ifrån, inte endast "PayPal" för att man ska innse att det definitivt är ett pishinförsök. Något som också gäller andra pishingförsök.

Om det skulle vara ett legitimt mail från PayPal så känns det som om Paypal är otroligt oseriösa när det gäller säkerhetsfrågor på nätet. data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7
 
Tak for alle tilbagemeldinger. Jeg regnede også med at det var "bad". Men i det mindste kan det tjene som advarsel, hvis der skulle være andre der får lignende mails.Bliver jo lidt nervøs da PayPal har mine kreditkortoplysninger
