Cathay Pacific’s new lounge, The Deck, has been unveiled today at Hong Kong International Airport, with an opening slated for March 22.
Located close to gate 16 in Terminal 1, where the airline’s previous Dragonair lounge was, The Deck has been designed in the same signature style as Cathay Pacific’s other lounges in Hong Kong and across its network. This is described by Cathay Pacific as a “contemporary living room environment of understated luxury.”

The Deck, spanning 823 square metres, has seating for up to 180 passengers and is fitted with designer furniture, lots of lighting, as well as plenty of natural materials, greenery and artworks by local artists.
Dining Options
With the dining experience a prominent feature of Cathay’s lounges, a highlight of The Deck is its food offering, including The Noodle Bar – long a favourite among Cathay Pacific customers.

Passengers can have a taste of Hong Kong with a selection of local classics, including wonton noodles in a hearty broth, fish ball noodles and a variety of dim sum and buns. Ready-to-order Asian delights, such as dan dan noodles and Japanese-style vegetarian noodles, are also available.

The Terrace
As you may have guessed, a centrepiece of The Deck is The Terrace, an open-ceiling L-shaped balcony that features both tables and individual seating. From here, lounge guests can take in panoramic views of the airport’s apron, taxi-ways and northern runway whilst enjoying a drink or a bite to eat.

Additionally, the lounge is fitted with a relaxation zone featuring bespoke Solo chairs, as well as eight shower suites, washroom facilities and a range of comfortable seating throughout.

Once The Deck opens of March 22, Cathay Pacific will be closing The Cabin business class lounge at Hong Kong. Cathay’s other lounges at Hong Kong will remain open, including The Wing, The Pier, The Bridge, and The Arrival.
