Rejsen var en award rejse med AF fra CPH til CDG, derfra videre med Rwandair til Kigali på en uforskammet billig økonomi billet. Jeg har guldkort hos begge selskaber hvilket hjælper kolossalt. Mest værdsat er lounge access og sædevalg. Værste hurdle på rejsen var transit Paris: jeg kunne, mod forventning, ikke få AF i CPH til at checke min baggage ind hele vejen (det kunne jeg sidste gang, men ikke forrige gang - det virker som lotteri), så jeg måtte bakse med 65 kg fra T2F til T1. Ikke helt let, da 3-5 rulletrapper forhindrer trollyen adgang. Og, I Paris var der 2 elevatorer på vejen, der var ude af funktion...
Lounger, både i CPH men også Extime Lounge i Paris leverede vældig fint. Den i Paris har et Arabisk snit over sig, med interessant mad-udbud. Ombord, var der et vældigt godt flow af drikke og mad. De facto blev jeg serveret ad libitum, jeg blev ikke nægtet noget en eneste gang (begge selskaber!).

Air France Economy 7/10
Copenhagen-Paris 16th May. 2024 on a A320. Checked in on-line but to no avail, as luggage has to be checked in anyway. Check in refused to transfer my luggage to the next leg of journey, which was extremely inconvenient for transit in Paris and costed me at least an hour of extra struggle. Previously, AF in CPH often checked in my luggage to final destination. However, this service is obviously unpredictable, depending on who sits at the counter. The station manager tried and even took over the checking in. However, eventually she declined as she failed to identify any AF agreement with the concerned (next) airline: Rwandair. Boarding smooth, full flight; on time; luggage arrived well in Paris. Onboard, given emergency seat, fast track. Given access to “Apartment lounge” in Copenhagen due to FB status. This lounge is not worldclass, but is nowadays likely the best in CPH airport concerning food and drinks. Onboard, no free WiFi and no IFE. FAs were good and provided two rounds of cold sandwiches and most sorts of drinks. Wines were acceptable. Respected by FAs as Flying Blue gold card holder and I was well catered for. Could have rated much higher if they would have accepted checking in my luggage beyond Paris.Rwandair Economy 8/10
Flew Paris to Rwanda 16th May 2024. A330-200 aircraft. Check-in Paris was easy and smooth. Rwandair uses “extime lounge” in T1: a splendid 3rd party lounge above expectations. Onboard, I was recognised by staff as gold-card holder and could choose seat. Eventually, I got an entire middle row with 4 seats for myself, which was a great gift, allowing me to sleep. Got delicious special seafood meal and later I tried the chicken dish as well, which also was good. Breakfast very modest. IFE system acceptable with individual screens; headsets was provided. Flight was half full. Left on time and landed early. Luggage was prioritized and well handled. I took advantage of a generous 2 x 23 kg luggage allowance They even allowed me 50 kg without penalizing me. Frequent flier miles credited instantly upon arrival. This, despite the ticket was promotional and quite cheap. Will fly them again. The airline needs obviously airline partners/alliance for smoother luggage transfers and better recognition It is, unfairly, undervalued by most travelers. Another weakness is their very limited number of aircrafts which, in case of irregularities, could cause snowball effects and delays due to few or none replacements easily available.Attachments
