American Express has opened its stylish new lounge at Melbourne Airport’s international terminal.
It is Amex’s second lounge in Australia, following the one in Sydney, and adds to the company’s worldwide network of over 1,100 lounges.
Located in T2, the entry to the new lounge is directly opposite the Qantas International Business Lounge. It will be open between 6 am and 11 pm daily, offering guests complimentary snacks and beverages, a barista service, high-speed Wi-Fi, computer and copy facilities, flight information screens, and a selection of local and international magazines and newspapers.

The lounge’s design is refined and modern aesthetic, with seating for up to 65 people (more than in the Sydney lounge).
It is divided into two zones. One side features a dedicated dining area with communal tables and tables for small groups.

The other side of the lounge is for resting and working, with plenty of private and comfortable seating options.

The lounge, which is managed by Plaza Premium Group, is open to Amex card holders. Amex Centurion and Platinum charge card members get unlimited entries, while other cards come with two entries each calendar year.
