United överväger att starta trafik till Chengdu
Amerikanska flygbolaget United Airlines har ansökt om att få starta en flyglinje från San Francisco till Chengdu, Kinas fjärde största stad. Tanken är att trafikera linjen med tre avgångar per vecka med en Boeing 787 Dreamliner.
Flygtiden blir 14 timmar och 15 minuter från San Francisco och en något kortare flygtid på 13 timmar och 50 minuter på returflygningen. Flygtiden må vara lång men innebär en tidsbesparing på nästan fyra timmar mot existerande tidtabell som innebär ett byte på vägen. Om linjen godkänns blir det Uniteds nionde destination i Asia/Pacific regionen.
