Taj Hotels opens luxurious property in Mumbai

Taj Hotels, Resorts and Palaces has opened a new luxury hotel in Mumbai - Taj Santacruz.

Located just off the Western Express Highway, the 279-room hotel is in close proximity to the city’s financial and entertainment hubs, as well as Mumbai’s domestic and international airports. The hotel is Mumbai-based Taj Hotels’ fourth property in Mumbai - joining Taj Land’s End, Taj Wellington Mews and Taj Mahal Palace - and ‘a tribute to the city.’

Junior Suite “With its distinctive design, spacious rooms and warm service, Taj Santacruz is a luxurious new addition that is symbolic of the cultural melting pot that is quintessentially Mumbai. The hotel captures the spirit of the city and offers curated experiences to its guests, deep rooted in its culture,” said Pankaj Sampat, general manager, Taj Santacruz, Mumbai. The hotel’s decor is a blend of contemporary luxury and traditional Indian patterns and colours. A number of paintings and traditional sculptures by Indian artists are displayed throughout the hotel.

Hotel lobby The Grand Luxury Suite and Presidential Suite occupy the highest floor and feature separate living areas and kitchens. Guests in Taj Club rooms and suites will have access to the fifth floor Taj Club and 24-hour butler service. The hotel offers an all-day dining restaurant, Tiqri, serving Mumbai street food; a Mediterranean restaurant called Rivea; the Golden Dragon Chinese restaurant; and the Tiqri Lounge.

It will be an oasis for business and leisure travellers alike. It is the new jewel in the Taj crown,” said Farhat Jamal, senior vice president – operations West-India and Africa, Taj Hotels Resorts and Palaces.
