Starwood to open St. Regis hotel on Dubai’s Palm Jumeirah island

Starwood has this week announced the signing of The St. Regis Dubai, The Palm.

The new property is slated to open in 2018 and will feature one of the world’s highest infinity swimming pools. Owned by Dubai developer Nakheel, the hotel will be part of The Palm Tower, a 52-story mixed-use luxury development and the centrepiece of Dubai’s world-famous Palm Jumeirah island. Construction of the Palm Tower is ongoing and completion is due in 2018.

floor. The hotel will feature two swimming pools, including one of the world’s highest infinity pools. Located on the 50

floor, some 210 metres above ground, it will boats a 360-degree view of the Palm Jumeirah, Arabian Gulf and Dubai skyline. The hotel will also offer “distinct” dining experiences, including a signature restaurant with city views on the 51

floor and an all-day restaurant.

The St. Regis Dubai, The Palm with one of the world’s highest infinity swimming pools St. Regis’ signature St. Regis Butler Service will be available to guests staying at the hotel, while the Palm Monorail, which is connected to the Dubai Tram and Dubai Metro, is in close proximity. “This signing underlines the strong demand for high-end hotel accommodation in the UAE and makes Dubai the first city in the world to boast three St. Regis hotels,” said Michael Wale, President, Starwood Hotels & Resorts, Europe, Africa and Middle East. Nakheel Chairman, Ali Rashid Lootah said: “Palm Jumeirah is a global destination offering the ultimate in luxury living and leisure. Working with Starwood to open a St. Regis on The Palm reinforces what the island is all about: unrivalled, world-class facilities that set new standards for residents and tourists.”
