Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide last week celebrated its first hotel in Romania with the opening of the Sheraton Bucharest Hotel. The opening is in partnership with S.C. Grand Plaza Hotel S.A. The Sheraton brand continues its rapid European growth with now more than 60 hotels in its portfolio.

Sheraton Club The 270-room Sheraton Bucharest Hotel has 27 Executive Suites and one Presidential Suite. Guests have access to the 'Sheraton Fitness Center', which includes two massage rooms and spa treatment facilities. 'The Sheraton Club', a lounge on the 18th floor, offers guests views of the city as well as complimentary breakfast, all-day refreshments, and free Wi-Fi.
Presidential Suite - living room The hotel offers easy access to Bucharest's business and shopping districts, as well as upscale dining and entertainment options. Piata Romana subway station is a stone’s throw away from the hotel and provides a quick connection to Old Town, Victoria Palace, several museums, and the city’s prestigious Palace of the Parliament. The hotel has 1,200 square metres of combined meeting and event space, consisting of ten conference rooms, two ballrooms and one boardroom. Each conference room can hold between 10 - 400 people, and together, the 10 rooms can accommodate up to 1,400 guests.
Reception Hotel restaurant 'Avalon'
offers
a contemporary twist on Romanian cuisine, while Japanese Steakhouse & Sushi Bar 'Benihana' provides guests with another dining option. Additionally, 'Centro Sweets' offers a selection of desserts in a cozy setting. The property is an 18-minute drive from Henri Coanda International Airport (OTP).
Sheraton Club Sheraton is increasing its presence in Europe with several debuts in a number of interesting destinations. In addition to Sheraton Bucharest, notable openings this year included Sheraton Lake Como Hotel, the brand’s eighth hotel in Italy, Sheraton Ufa in Russia, and Sheraton Samsun in Turkey.
