Premium Economy is becoming an increasingly popular product in many parts of the world and today as many as eleven Star Alliance airlines offer a premium economy-cabin. As a result, Star Alliance are choosing to introduce an around-the-world ticket in premium economy for the first time. This complements the previous around-the-world tickets available in economy class, business class and first class.

The ticket is sold in three different price ranges with different maximum distances: 29,000 miles, 34,000 miles and 39,000 miles. The ticket offers the opportunity to book premium economy on the eleven airlines that offer it. If you travel with an airline that does not offer premium economy, or does not offer premium economy on the flight you want to book, you can instead choose to fly in economy class. The ticket follows the same rules as the other 17 around-the-world tickets offered by Star Alliance. You must travel either west or east and cross both the Atlantic and the Pacific, and at least three stops at a minimum of 24 hours each are mandatory. Discounted tickets for children and infants are also available. The Star Alliance airlines that currently offer premium economy are Air Canada, Air China, Air New Zealand, ANA, Eva Air, Lufthansa, LOT, SAS, Singapore Airlines, Thai Airways and Turkish Airlines.
