St. Regis Hotels & Resorts, part of Starwood Hotels & Resorts, has announced the opening of The St. Regis Dubai, the luxury brand’s debut in the UAE capital.

St. Regis Dubai “We are proud to partner with Al Habtoor Group and to launch Starwood’s largest hospitality project in the region as we open the first of three hotels in this prestigious development. The entry of our ultra-luxury St. Regis brand in this important market strengthens Starwood’s presence in the United Arab Emirates as we remain on track to double our portfolio in the region by 2019,” said Michael Wale, President, Starwood Hotels & Resorts, Europe, Africa and Middle East. The hotel’s design pays homage to The St. Regis New York - the brand’s first hotel which opened in 1904 - with French beaux-arts architecture and a neo-classical interior. A dazzling chandelier suspended above the grand staircase greets guests to The St. Regis Dubai, while artwork adorns the walls of the hotel, including a vintage Bentley inspired mural in the St. Regis Bar.
