St. Regis Hotels & Resorts, part of Starwood Hotels & Resorts, has announced the opening of The St. Regis Dubai, the luxury brand’s debut in the UAE capital.

The luxurious hotel, owned by Al Habtoor Group, boasts eight culinary venues, the first Iridium Spa in Dubai, a fleet of Bentleys for guest’s use, and the first Bentley Suite in the Middle East - due be unveiled in early 2016. The St. Regis Dubai is located within Al Habtoor City, an urban resort comprising of two other Starwood hotels (Westin and W hotel), three high-rise residential towers and a spectacular water-themed show by Dragone - one of the world’s leading cultural creation companies. Al Habtoor City is minutes away from attractions such as Burj Khalifa and The Dubai Mall, and a 20-minute drive to Dubai International Airport.

St. Regis Dubai “We are proud to partner with Al Habtoor Group and to launch Starwood’s largest hospitality project in the region as we open the first of three hotels in this prestigious development. The entry of our ultra-luxury St. Regis brand in this important market strengthens Starwood’s presence in the United Arab Emirates as we remain on track to double our portfolio in the region by 2019,” said Michael Wale, President, Starwood Hotels & Resorts, Europe, Africa and Middle East. The hotel’s design pays homage to The St. Regis New York - the brand’s first hotel which opened in 1904 - with French beaux-arts architecture and a neo-classical interior. A dazzling chandelier suspended above the grand staircase greets guests to The St. Regis Dubai, while artwork adorns the walls of the hotel, including a vintage Bentley inspired mural in the St. Regis Bar.

Suite The St. Regis Dubai features 234 rooms, including 52 suites. Located in the central dome of the building, the ‘Royal Suite’ consists of two floors and three bedrooms, and has a double staircase, private rooftop pool, its own elevator, and is available for ED120,000 (£22,000) per night. The hotel’s one-bedroom 'Bentley Suite' is inspired by the craftsmanship of the Bentley Mulsanne. It is the first of its kind in the Middle East and offers “the ultimate expression of luxury - the leather finishes, colours, patterns and wood veneers combine the glamour of Bentley with the impeccable elegance of the St. Regis brand.”

Brasserie Quartier The eight dining venues at the hotel include Brasserie Quartier

-

a French brasserie serving redefined French favourites; and J&G Steakhouse - a collection of steakhouse classics inspired by Michelin-starred chef, Jean-Georges Vongerichten. The Roof Gardens offers an intimate outdoor venue with cabanas for guests, Cafe Fleuri resembles a 1930s Parisien cafe, and Le Patio is a rustic courtyard cafe surrounded by olive trees. For an evening drink, there is the St. Regis Bar and The Champagne Lounge, while Sidra offers afternoon tea and views of the hotel's gardens.
