One of the world’s most anticipated resorts, Six Senses Qing Cheng Mountain, will have its preview opening on August 1st, becoming Six Senses first resort in China.
Located at the gateway to the magnificent Qing Cheng mountains, and close to the UNESCO World Heritage & Natural Cultural site at nearby Dujiangyan, Six Senses Qing Cheng Mountain is situated in idyllic natural beauty. The resort is just over an hour’s drive from the regional capital of Chengdu and 48 miles (78km) from Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport (CTU).
Six Senses deluxe suite at Six Senses Qing Cheng Mountain The resort offers 113 guest accommodations ranging from semi-detached suites in duplex villas with balconies and verandas, to courtyard suites, garden and pool villas. Dwellings boast an indoor courtyard, whirlpool or pool, natural wood interiors and exotic outdoor settings. Complimentary WiFi is available, along with a smartphone app that can control air conditioning, the television and lighting. Six Senses Qing Cheng Mountain also houses several dining establishments, a Spa and an array of outdoor activities. ‘Farm2Fork’ is an all-day restaurant serving fresh-from-the-garden ingredients in Western and regional dishes. For signature Chinese dining, ‘28Zodiac’ serves Sichuan specialties complemented with a selection of Cantonese, Jiangsu and Shandong favourites. ‘Sala Thai’ celebrates the exquisite cuisine of Thailand under the direction of resident Thai chef, Sarunya Jampadee. The ‘Moon Bar’ is a quirky lounge that serves creative cocktails, wines and spirits. Situated within the Moon Bar, the ‘Chinese Tea Lounge’ has some of China’s finest teas. The 1,710 square metre ‘Six Senses Spa’ boasts waterfall and garden views from its 10 treatment rooms. A variety of locally-inspired specialty treatments and an extensive menu of signature therapies are available, as well as activities such as yoga and tai chi. The secluded accommodations offer plenty of privacy and are perfect for anyone looking to feel close to nature while enjoying some luxury and pampering.
