These days, flying in Singapore Airlines’ new Premium Economy offers a number of attractive benefits.
38 inches of legroom, which certainly make a long trip considerably more pleasant, as well as the serving of champagne, the chance to pre-order food, and a very good entertainment system means Singapore Airlines, who have invested a staggering £65 million in the concept, have indeed provided a very desirable product. - We are very proud of our Premium Economy, says Henrik Hanevold, sales manager for Singapore Airlines. - There is a clear market demand for greater comfort, while some customers are experiencing business class as just too expensive. With our new Premium Economy, we offer a good option - not just for individuals who want an upgrade, but also for business customers who want that little extra, say Hanevold. Singapore Airlines introduced Premium Economy in Europe from Heathrow on August 28. In comparison to Premium Economy, a normal economy class seat offers 32 inches of legroom - the industry standard. Thus, Premium Economy offers just over 15cm more. Premium Economy passengers can also choose from as many as nine different dishes via "Book the cook". In addition, baggage allowance is increased to 35 kg, and both priority check-in and priority boarding are included when you fly Premium Economy.
