Singapore Airlines launch route to Düsseldorf - with new A350-900

Singapore Airlines has announced that it will launch its third German destination next summer - Düsseldorf. 

From July 21, 2016, Singapore Airlines will operate a three-times weekly direct service to Düsseldorf, deploying the all-new Airbus A350-900 on the route, with three classes on board - Business, Premium Economy and Economy. SIA said it plans to increase frequency at a later date. Flight SQ338 will depart Singapore on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays at 23.30, arriving in Düsseldorf at 06.30 the next day. In the opposite direction, flight SQ337 will depart Düsseldorf on Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays at 11.30, landing in Singapore at 06.10 the following day. “Flights to Düsseldorf will complement our existing services to Europe, and be served by all-new Airbus A350-900s fitted with Singapore Airlines’ latest cabin products. With this addition, Singapore Airlines will serve the three largest airports in Germany, including Frankfurt and Munich,” said Singapore Airlines’ Senior Vice President Marketing Planning, Ms Lee Wen Fen. when this new route comes into effect, Singapore Airlines will have a presence at Germany’s three biggest airports - they currently operate a twice-daily service between Singapore and Frankfurt, and a daily service between Singapore and Munich. The A350-900 will be SIA’s newest aircraft when the first one is delivered by Airbus in early 2016. The airline has 67 of the new aircraft on firm order, with seven of them being modified for ultra long-range (ULR) capabilities .
