Emirates’ first Airbus A380 service to Scandinavia touched down yesterday in Copenhagen. It marks the first time that an aircraft of this type has operated from a Scandinavian airport.
The double-decker aircraft landed at Kastrup at 12.20 on Tuesday as Emirates held a private function for management, politicians and airport staff. The Dubai carrier now operates a daily service to the Danish capital - its 36th A380 destination. The route is served by the world’s first A380 to be configured in a two-class layout. It offers a total of 615 seats - 58 in business and 557 in economy. Flight EK151 leaves Dubai at 08.20 and arrives in Copenhagen at 12.20 the same day. The return, EK152, departs Copenhagen at 14.20 and arrives in Dubai at 23.35 the same day. A two-class A380 also debuted in Bangkok yesterday.
