From today, SAS has implemented a new payment service for its EuroBonus loyalty scheme - Travel Cash. The service makes it possible to load your EuroBonus card with local currency and then use that card to make payments when you are travelling. It is the first time such a service is launched by a European airline.
Travel Cash includes 12 currencies and is valid at all locations worldwide where MasterCard is accepted. Every time you pay with Travel Cash you earn EuroBonus points, 10 points for $100 abroad, and 5 points for $100 in Sweden. You can keep an eye on your expenses and currencies via SAS’ app.
Nils Lindhe
, manager of SAS EuroBonus, said: “We want to make the trip easier for our customers and therefore we are proud to launch an innovative new product that simplifies the trip. By the customers before departure can load their EuroBonus card with foreign currency, they have full control of their travel funds. SAS EuroBonus card is then used as a normal debit card and therefore our customers can also earn EuroBonus points on all purchases made.” The 12 currencies covered are: the Danish krone, Euro, Japanese yen, Norwegian krone, Polish zloty, Swiss franc, Singapore dollar, British pound, Swedish krona, US dollar, Turkish lira and Thai baht.
