Beginning 8th June, it will be possible to pre-order food when travelling with SAS Go (economy class) on flights within Europe. Orders can be made up until 18 hours before departure, and a 10 percent discount will also be included on prices on board.
Initially, the possibility of ordering food was only offered on flights longer than 60 minutes for breakfast orders, and on flights longer than 3 hours for other food. The menu will initially be the same as the on-board menu. This includes breakfast in the morning until 9am, and on departures after 9am, salads and sandwiches will be available. Drinks can not pre-ordered, these are purchased as usual on board the aircraft. Pre-orders can be made up until 18 hours before departure on the SAS website, via ‘My Bookings’, during online check-in or through a travel agent. You can only pre-order food on tickets issued by SAS (a ticket number starting with 117) and on flights that SAS operate itself. All pre-ordered food is labeled and stored on board and served from the food wagon as it passes through the SAS Go cabin. Those who choose to pre-order food get a 10 percent discount on prices on board. It is worth noting that no refund will be given if you choose to reschedule or cancel your trip after an order has been made. Three destinations with a flight time over three hours are also currently exempt from pre-ordering food - Ankara, Gazipasa and Malta.
