Stig Christiansen, a 27 year old from Norway, has become the four millionth member of SAS’ EuroBonus loyally program. He was referred by his father, apparently just at the right time, and has received 200,000 EuroBonus points from SAS in doing so.
- We are extremely proud that we have such a strong membership growth and that we are up to four million EuroBonus members. It is a proof that customers appreciate what we do, both on our flight offerings and also the offerings we create together with our partners, says Eivind Roald, Commercial Director for SAS, in a statement.
with BusinessClass.co.uk, Eivind Roald said that the goal was five million members before the end of 2015. It now seems this goal, however, will need to be revised somewhat. Since the interview was conducted in November 2013, the number of EuroBonus members has increased by 800,000, from 3.2 million to 4 million, which should mean that five million members may be achieved around 2016-2017. SAS CEO, Rickard Gustafsson, this week told BusinessClass.co.uk that he sees EuroBonus as an extremely important part of SAS's future and a cornerstone of the activities that they will continue to build on. He sees EuroBonus as a way to build relationships with customers, and a way to customise and personalise the customer’s experience in a completely unique way.
