Wyndham Hotel Group has signed an agreement to build the Ramada Lumut Resort in Perak, Malaysia.
The resort is expected to be completed by the end of 2018 and will comprise of 269 luxurious residence and service apartments, seven forest villas and a four-star hotel with 170 rooms. With breath-taking views of the ocean to the north and forest reserves to the south, the luxury resort will offer a three-storey waterfall and an infinity pool. A separate four-storey building will house meeting and event space, including a banquet hall; F&B options and jungle-themed recreational facilities. “As a company, we are committed to expanding our portfolio of offerings in destinations that people want to visit, and Malaysia is certainly a key market for us,” said Barry Robinson, Wyndham’s president & managing director for Southeast Asia and the Pacific Rim. “Ramada Resort Lumut is a truly unique resort that I am confident will appeal to a range of guests.” Towards the end of last year, Wyndham, the world’s largest hotel company, announced the signing of seven new franchise agreements for hotels in Thailand, Malaysia and Vietnam under the comany’s Ramada, Days Inn and Wyndham Hotels and Resorts brands.
