London based travel tech start-up Portr has launched its AirPortr luggage transfer service at London Gatwick.

AirPortr offers the opportunity to have your baggage delivered to or collected from Gatwick. The service is available to addresses within London, Gatwick and the surrounding/connecting London corridor, and can be booked in advance or on the day of travel. Concierges will collect and deliver baggage at a time suited to the customer, meaning an easier and less stressful commute. The AirPortr team can be found in the South Terminal at Gatwick, with plans to operate from the North Terminal later this year. The service is priced as follows: £15 to/from Gatwick Airport to the local area, £25 to/from Gatwick Airport to central London, and £35 to/from Gatwick Airport to outer London. Each additional bag costs £5 (with no size or weight restrictions).

Toby Tait, Gatwick Product Manager for Premium and Business Services,

had this to say, “The arrival of AirPortr now means that the convenience our passengers experience at the airport extends to their travel to and from Gatwick. Carrying heavy bags on the journey to and from the airport can now be a thing of the past for our passengers.”

Chris Walsh, Head of Customer Experience at Portr,

commented, “Of course we are in the business of same day luggage delivery and ensuring your bags travel when and where you want them, but really AirPortr is all about the time and convenience aspect of the service that we in reality aspire to deliver.”
