Airline alliance One World is introducing new signage at airports to make it clearer for premium and status travellers. The newly developed design consists of One World’s logo, the word ‘Priority’, followed by the symbols for Ruby, Sapphire and Emerald, depending on which passengers have access. The new design will make it easier for travellers to locate, for example, check-in, fast track, lounges and the right queue when boarding. One World Priority
Now begins the process of replacing signs at over 1,000 airports in 155 countries. First up will be Perth, Australia, where the first signs were unveiled today, followed by Sydney, Melbourne, Berlin Tegel and Dusseldorf in August. Major airports in the US will receive the new signs in September and then Doha and Amman in October. The 125 most important airports for One World will all have the new signs within 12 months, which means before the summer of 2016. One Worlds CEO, Bruce Ashby, commented that One World currently offers a very good range of benefits for those who travel frequently, but also that it could be difficult for frequent travellers to find where they can take advantage of these privileges at large airports, especially at airports not visited before. It will now be much easier, just look for the sign that will common all over the world. The benefits offered to frequent travellers throughout the One World alliance, and where the logo will be used, are as follows:
One World Emerald
-First Class and Business Class check-in, regardless of cabin class -Fast Track through security -First Class and Business Class Lounges -Priority Boarding
One World Sapphire
